I was born and educated in the American Midwest and spent my adult years practicing law and raising three children on Florida’s east coast. Since my retirement in 2018, I have enjoyed traveling and cycling with my husband, and I have returned to my first passion, writing, which I abandoned at the tender age of 12 for reasons that continue to elude me.
My Story
Recent adventures involved visiting remote villages throughout Europe and the British Isles, tracing the steps of long-ago ancestors who migrated to Cincinnati, Ohio, in the mid-1800s. During these visits, I was often overwhelmed by the reception I received from the locals, curious that I had travelled so far, to such hard-to-reach places, simply to stand where my ancestors once stood. Despite language barriers, they were determined to tell me about their homelands, insistent that I leave with an understanding of my people. Their generosity in sharing their stories was the catalyst for my first novel, Destination Ohio – Breaking the Bonds of Kin and Country, completed in early 2026.
